Vietnam >>> Revit Architect, Vietnam
Culturally aware architect sought to work with and advise our Vietnamese architecture team and help lead projects based at our office in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). Our practice collaborates with a number of well known practices, particularly British practices, but also practices based in the UAE, Sweden, the Netherlands, France, Ireland and Australia.
We are looking for good construction detailing experience (Ausführungsplanung) and a sound understanding of sustainable architecture. The job is initially assisting in coordination of planning and construction drawing packages on a number of diverse building types. The position is at our modern, well equipped, office in Ho Chi Minh City's the central business district.
A clear understanding of BIM principles and competence in Revit is required. Competence in other BIM softwares would be an advantage, e.g. ArchiCAD, AECOsim or Vectorworks. Most of our projects are delivered in Revit, but we also work in AECOsim, ArchiCAD and AutoCAD. Training courses are provided in-house if required.
WA Projects is an equal opportunities employer. As one of the few British owned practices in Vietnam, our completion of Building Design's 'Women in Architecture' survey helped put Vietnam on the map as a good place for women to work.
The package consists of flights to and from Europe once per year, a serviced apartment for the first month while you find yourself a house or apartment to rent, a comfortable salary which can be split between a Vietnamese and European bank account. All visa, work permit and other associated administration costs are all taken care of.
The office has a professional yet refreshingly relaxed atmosphere. Our work affords the opportunity for exposure to a wide range project types and construction, and to work with a number of renowned international architects.
Vietnam has been steadily developing over the last couple of decades, and although faces many challenges, the progress is relentless. Some estimates say HCMC is home to some 12m people - which in turn leads to considerable diversity.
If you are interested and would like to expand your horizon please send your CV and introduction to Steve Burghes White at jobs@wa-projects.net Interviews will be held in Manchester, London, Berlin or Paris over the next couple of months.
